Abstract

This text presents the first part of an interview with the Argentine philosopher Alejandro Vigo, conducted by Alan Mendoza and Roberto Casales. It focuses on a reflection on the relevance and contemporary significance of Kant’s practical philosophy—a dialogue that ranges from well-known objections to the Categorical Imperative, which are here called into question, to an engagement with current ethical and economic issues such as poverty and inequality, in relation to the proposals of Martha Nussbaum and Amartya Sen.
