Abstract

The purpose of this article is to rethink the different meanings of the term Stimmung, as well as the various meanings that belong—sometimes more remotely—to the expression “state or attunement of mind”. The dismantling of these terms allows us to consider their relevance within the framework of the various phenomenologies of affect, particularly in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger.
