Abstract
Gilles Deleuze's ontology uses the concepts of virtuality and actuality within its framework. In the first part of this text, I explain a basic meaning of these concepts. In the second part, I refine this meaning according to the explana- tions Deleuze provides of these concepts in rela- tion to the notions of real and possible. My aim is to show how, in the articulation of the four terms—virtual, actual, real, and possible—the author's modal reasoning is implicated.
